Our Mission
Engaging the community through the arts.
Moksha Arts Collective is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has produced world-class multimedia events since 2004.
We established a global nexus of cultural and artistic expression by presenting international art fairs, a multidisciplinary public lecture series, outreach in local communities, and participation in regional festivals. We are an artist-run charity: the collective itself curates, builds, staffs, and performs the programming.
We strive to engage the community through the arts and to raise awareness of the social and environmental issues affecting our region — from Everglades conservation to multicultural representation in Miami's Little Haiti and Little River neighborhoods.
Who we serve
Miami residents seeking free and low-cost arts and education programming; emerging and established visual artists needing exhibition space; local musicians and technicians needing paid work.
How we're funded
Public arts grants, earned revenue from ticketed programming, individual donations, sponsorships, and artist merchandise sales. Ticket income pays artists and staff and subsidizes our free programs.

In memoriam
Robert Venosa 1936 – 2011
A founding influence on this collective. Venosa headlined the very first Moksha Art Fair in 2005 and returned in 2009 to lecture on “The Artist & Shaman.” A master of the Mischtechnik he learned from Mati Klarwein and Ernst Fuchs, he brought a lineage reaching back to the Vienna School into our gallery — and brought his wife and fellow painter Martina Hoffmann with him. The visual language of two decades of Moksha Art Fairs begins with them.
We also remember Tony Martinez, honored with a memorial benefit at 7th Circuit in December 2010, and Terence McKenna, whose work the collective has paid tribute to across many gatherings.
